HiSKID BL2P-G7MHSS — Wheel-Free Solar Monitoring Tower
What the HiSKID BL2P-G7MHSS Is
The HiSKID BL2P-G7MHSS is a wheel-free solar monitoring tower built on a durable skid base. Rather than rolling into position, it is lifted and set down with a forklift, then left in place. The design intent is simple: compact, off-grid security and surveillance infrastructure that stays where you put it.
This is not a trailer, and it is not intended to be towed. HiSKID is a fixed-position asset — the kind of unit you place once at the edge of a parking lot, a construction perimeter, a remote substation, or a temporary event site, and leave to run on solar power.
It suits buyers who need long-term outdoor monitoring without trenching power cables or relying on a grid connection: security integrators, rental fleets, construction firms, mining and oil operations, traffic monitoring teams, and public security projects.

Skid Base and Deployment
The base is the defining feature of the HiSKID platform. It is a heavy skid — no wheels, no axle, no towing geometry. Four forklift holes are built into the base so the unit can be lifted off a delivery vehicle or repositioned on site with standard material-handling equipment.
That approach matters in real deployments. A wheeled unit invites movement, settling, and repositioning. A skid-mounted tower is meant to sit flat, stay put, and serve as a long-term fixed monitoring point. Once placed, it can be leveled and left to operate as an independent off-grid installation.
Because HiSKID is not towable, it should be treated as site infrastructure rather than a mobile asset. Plan placement accordingly: identify the final position before delivery, confirm forklift access, and prepare a stable surface for the skid to rest on.

Solar and Power
The HiSKID BL2P-G7MHSS generates its own power from two 450W bifacial PV panels. Bifacial modules collect irradiance from both the front and the rear face, which can be useful when the ground or surrounding surfaces reflect light back toward the panel.
Panel aiming is adjustable. A 350° horizontal rotation range plus vertical angle adjustment allows the array to be oriented toward the prevailing sun path at the installation latitude. Correct orientation at commissioning has a direct effect on daily energy collection, so this adjustment is worth planning rather than guessing.
Energy is stored in four GEL batteries marked DC12V with a total capacity of 9600Wh. The bank is sized to buffer the array's output across the monitoring duty cycle.
Charging is managed by a 50A MPPT controller (95% nominal efficiency, as listed).

Mast
The mast is a square telescoping type fabricated from Q235 steel, extending to 6.5 m. Lift is manual, via a winch — a deliberate choice that removes any dependence on powered actuators for elevation.
Two figures are published for the mast: a 70 kg load rating and a 117 kph nominal wind rating. These are nominal specification values. They are not certified safety limits and should not be read as guaranteed operating envelopes. Camera payload, accessory weight, local wind exposure, and site conditions all interact, and the final configuration should be assessed against the actual installation.
Cable routing is internal. Network and power conductors run inside the mast rather than on the exterior.
---
Camera and Accessory Mounting
At the top of the mast, a CCTV mounting box provides the interface for surveillance equipment. The box is intended for standard camera hardware, and the tower ships with a network cable and a power cable terminated with waterproof connectors.
Four white-blue strobe lights are included on the mounting assembly. These serve a dual purpose: they increase the visibility of the tower itself — useful at night in parking areas, roadside positions, and construction zones — and they signal the presence of active monitoring equipment.
Because the HiSKID is a fixed solar monitoring tower, confirm the camera mounting and aiming arrangement for your installation during enquiry.

Suitable Applications
The HiSKID BL2P-G7MHSS is designed for long-term outdoor fixed monitoring where grid power is impractical or expensive to bring in. Typical deployments include:
- Outdoor parking lots and managed vehicle areas
- Construction sites and perimeter monitoring
- Traffic monitoring positions
- Public security and incident monitoring
- Sports venues and event sites
- Mining and oil field operations
- Emergency response staging
- Equipment rental fleets serving any of the above
In each case, the same logic applies: a compact off-grid security tower that can be forklifted into position and left to operate independently on solar power.

What to Confirm Before Ordering
HiSKID is configurable, and the correct specification depends on your site. Before placing an order, confirm the following with our team:
- Camera payload — model, weight, and mounting interface of the camera or cameras you intend to install, so the mast configuration suits the load.
- Site wind exposure — terrain, height above ground, and local wind conditions, so the nominal mast rating can be reviewed against your installation.
- Panel orientation — latitude and any shading constraints at the intended position, so the bifacial array can be aimed correctly at commissioning.
- Base surface and access — ground conditions for the skid and forklift access for delivery and placement.
- Connectivity — how the camera will transmit data (the tower provides network and power cabling to the mounting box; the transmission equipment itself is specified separately).
- Strobe and accessory requirements — confirm whether the standard four white-blue strobe lights match your site requirements.
- Documentation — certificates available upon request; advise which documents your project requires.
